SCOPE OF WORKS:

 

Pavement replacement

Milled to a depth of 300mm from the level of the existing pavement, cleared of excess loose material, replaced with road base and prepared & finished with 60mm AC14 (heavy duty). Road base shall be NGB20, 2% cement stabilised, 0 to 2% dry of OMC and compacted to 100% (min.) of standard compaction (other road base materials may be acceptable, tenderers shall provide details with their tender).

Pavement overlay
The junctions to existing pavement shall be milled to a depth of 60mm to provide a smooth transition prior to the area being cleared of loose materials, primed and overlay of AC14 (heavy duty) laid to the specified profile.

Pavement patching
There are areas of the intersection where the pavement is not being replaced but where isolated repairs are required due to surface rutting. The repair shall be milling the existing surface to a depth of 60mm, preparing, priming and replacing with 60mm AC14 (heavy duty). These areas will be marked, measured and agreed prior to commencement of work.
